My name is Shaindl Keshen and I am a coordinator of Columbia University's China-Israel Connection Club (CIC). CIC aims to promote the connections between China-affiliated and Israel-affiliated students on the American campus level. We do this by inviting speakers who address the cultural and economic connections between China and Israel, and by hosting bonding/networking events that showcase these two nation’s traditions.
In 2015, we founded our Summer Fellowship Program that offers students internship opportunities in China, Israel and New York City. We have partnered with over 50 companies, and established the CIC Fellowship Fund to financially assist motivated participants with extraordinary qualifications. The positive feedback and overall personal and professional growth of fellows of previous years indicate that our program is both valuable and impactful for or the students, and for the strength of this cross-national relation.
We are looking for more students (China-affiliated, Israel-affiliated, and others) with a demonstrated interest in the Sino-Israeli connection, who want to intern in China, Israel, or New York during summer 2018. We would highly appreciate it if you were willing to pass along this information to relevant departments, institutes and career centers, and also include our materials in your newsletters.
The deadline for the 2018 Summer Fellowship application is February 10th at midnight.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out. We greatly appreciate your help!
